Yard of the Month
Every May - December a yard is chosen from each village as Yard of the Month.

How to Get Involved
1. BECOME A YARD OF THE MONTH (YOM) JUDGE
One or two individuals from each neighborhood serve as judges. They choose a yard from their neighborhood considered to look the best for the month. Yards are judged May thru November. In December only holiday decorations are judged. Contact YOM@HLhoa.com for more information.

2. PICK FLOWERS FOR ENTRANCES
You can help choose the flowers and colors for the flower beds at each of the major Hidden Lakes entrances, as well as individual neighborhood entrances. Three or four times a year, the committee meets for seasonal color selection. When a neighborhood is not represented then those selections are made for them. Come choose your own!

ABOUT THE COMMITTEE

MISSION:
The Beautification Committee’s mission is to ensure that Hidden Lakes maintains its reputation as the premier planned community in Keller, to be envied and emulated by others for its beautifully landscaped common areas.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with the landscape company contracted to maintain the common areas of Hidden Lakes. Report maintenance needs such as irrigation repairs, sprinkler head replacements, damaged landscaping, dead trees, etc.

Submit a proposed budget annually to the Finance Committee for landscaping recommendations, for both long-term and short-term improvements to Hidden Lakes, such as seasonal flower changes, tree plantings, and village entrance landscape designs.

Coordinate with the Yard-of-the-Month Chairman for awarding and reporting winners (May through December only) for publication, including photos, in the quarterly newsletters and online. Maintain the YOM signs.

Work with the Holiday Decorating Subcommittee to coordinate the overall timing, theme, and volunteer recruitments for the annual decorating of the main entrances of Hidden Lakes. Encourage and oversee decorating of the individual village entrances. Contribute in the discussion of any professional holiday lighting contracts with the Association Managers.
