ABOUT THE COMMITTEE

MISSION:
The Safety Committee’s mission is to see that Hidden Lakes continues to be known as the safest community in Tarrant County, a secure place to live, raise a family and enjoy life to its fullest without any fears.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Serve as a liaison to the local police and fire departments.

Assist in establishing Neighborhood Crime Watch programs when requested by representatives of the villages.

Communicate safety needs, precautions, and recommendations to the Hidden Lakes residents via the website and bi-monthly E-News bulletins.

Work with the City of Keller as needed to implement traffic improvements such as stop signs, speed-limit enforcement or reduction, and signs for crosswalks and school zones.

Conduct safety inspections and reviews of Hidden Lakes’ community property assets when requested by Association Managers.

Assist in monitoring vehicle speed within Hidden Lakes in conjunction with KPD though a cooperative program wherein residents are trained to use a radar gun borrowed from KPD and periodically collect data for warning letters.
