Located 15 miles northeast of Forth Worth and 25 miles northwest of Dallas, Keller is quickly becoming one of the most desirable places to live in North Tarrant County. With over 36,000 residents, Keller was named one of the best-managed small cities in America.

GARBAGE & RECYCLING
The City of Keller contracts Trinity Waste Services (817-332-7301) for bi-weekly trash pick-up. Trash is picked up on TUESDAY and FRIDAY and recyclables are picked up on FRIDAY only. You are free to use which ever kind of trash container you choose as long as it in not larger than four (4) feet in diameter and must weigh less than fifty (50) pounds. Recycle bins & lids can be obtained at the City of Keller’s Customer Service Department which is located in Keller Town Hall at 1100 Bear Creek Parkway. There is a fee for these items. VEHICLE INSPECTION, REGISTRATION AND DRIVER’S LICENSE
Log onto www.texas.dmv.org and click on Applying for a Texas driver’s license. Then, under the Helpful Information column click on Moving to Texas.
Before you can obtain a Texas driver’s license, you must first obtain liability insurance, pass a vehicle safety inspection and then register your vehicle. Once these steps are completed (in the order that they are listed), you may then apply for your driver’s license.
There are several state approved vehicle inspection locations in Keller and you can register your vehicle at the Tarrant County Tax Assessors Office which is located in Southlake Town Hall, 1400 Main Street, Southlake, TX, (817) 481-8141.
The nearest Driver’s License Facility is located at 624 Northeast Loop 820 in Hurst (near the Northeast Mall). Their phone number is (817) 299-1300. Hours of operation are Monday 7:30am-6:00pm, Tuesday-Friday 7:30am-5:30pm.
